DingTalk also provides real-time translator service to mitigate the miscommunication between people who are using different languages to communicate. In the case of Papparich Malaysia, The AI translation feature in DingTalk has helped them bridge their HQ and outlets. When they first opened their US chains, Sharma, an executive of their franchise wanted to send a warm welcome to all of the chefs, but the majority of chefs are Chinese and their English level is not fluent, so Sharma used the AI translator to translate her message and she was able to communicate from English to Chinese.

This feature assists Dani, the Country head for Oppo Malaysia in participating in visual meetings. He has many meetings each day. For Eat Cake Today, a platform that allows cake lovers and seeker in Malaysia for cake, they build its own last miles delivery team. The logistic team named “Ant” is mobilized across areas to stand by, receive order, pick up the items from pick up points then drop off at customer location as instructed.administration work such as attendance, leave and claim application, riders used to need to come back to office to prepare the documents and submit personally, which took up their time and very inflexible as well. If any rider has an emergency leave request, they had to come back to fill in as well. What’s more, because of these paper-based documents, attendance was a big headache. A lot of effort was used to track, monitor, record the rider’s attendance, which was related to payroll. And the HR department had to spend days processing payroll.

From the experience of Eat Cake Today, as most of their employee is out from the office, there are lots of coordination between the riders, office, and client. In the past, riders relied heavily on call and Whatsapp to communicate and update the office on the progress. Very often due to the heavy communications in text and photos, it took up their phone memory and resulted in slow response in the phone, especially our riders usually use old phone models.
