Interaction Between Brands & Audiences

Humanising your brand by showing your more playful personalities will help audiences see that
your brand is NOT a business focused company, you’re a human who can have some fun and not
just hard selling a product.

Here is the example in year 2013:

Pepsi pokes fun at Coke with the following image posted on social media.

This Halloween ad was created by Belgium-based ad agency Buzz In A Box. This simple and
well-shot ad featured the Pepsi can wearing a Coca-Cola cape as a hero and the cap was spelled
out as Cola-Coca.
Coke came up with a response that went viral by insinuating Pepsi’s attempt at dressing up as
Coca-Cola with a tagline “Everybody wants to be a hero!”.

In 2020, GSC’s “Hello. Cannot” has become a viral meme and such a hit among Malaysians that
there are now merchandise with the iconic tagline

‘HELLO. CANNOT.’ The catchy tagline went viral and GSC started selling their shirts with the
‘Hello. Cannot.’ as it was sold out twice.

From this case, we can see the humanised interactions between The Alley, GSC and other brands

The Alley: Hello cannot without bubble tea while watching a movie.
GSC: NO OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS
The Alley: Maybe you should check their bags.

Facebook users responded, telling The Alley to stop sabotaging them because GSC might take
action.

In September 2020
Pizza Hut’s change of its logo to green colour.
The sudden change from its signature red to green had many of Facebook users wondering
whether Pizza Hut Malaysia was going to serve only vegetarian pizzas from now onwards.
Facebook users also asked funny questions on the comments section as there was no mention of
the reason of changing colour.
On 9th September, Pizza Hut has revealed that the change of colour was in accordance with the
launch of its new WhatsApp ordering service, known as Pizza Hut WhatsApp EasyOrder.
Creative, new and fresh social media content ideas are very important to level up your strategy.
Gain potential engagement with impactful posts to attract new followers, make sales, and convert
your existing audience into customers.
